Course Description

The course is designed for new leaders or supervisors who want to grow their management skills fast and get on the fast track to achieving leadership success. It will cover the proven management techniques and powerful strategies needed to become a stronger, more confident and respected leader and how to handle dozens of key management challenges with ease, including how to establish credibility and authority fast, how to motivate employees to give 110 percent, how to handle attitude problems and rule-breakers, how to curb absenteeism and tardiness, how to give constructive feedback and how to conduct effective performance appraisals.

Learning Outcomes

  • Explain the variables of human behavior in organizations and how this can be managed and directed to encourage superior individual and team performance;
  • Identify different quality and productivity management tools in order to improve work processes and organizational aspects of supervision; and
  • Translate strategies into development plans for improved performance and effective service delivery.

Teaching Methods

The course will utilize lectures with presentations and interactive class discussion. Trainees will also analyze case studies with the supervision of the trainer.
